Ingredients
- 1 c. warm milk
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- little salt
- 3 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
Method
- Mix milk, shortening, sugar and salt; add yeast dissolved in water.
- Add flour.
- Let rise in dish 15 minutes.
- Roll out on floured board about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut with cookie cutter.
- Dip in melted butter and fold in half.
- Let rise 40 minutes.
- Bake in 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
