Ingredients

  • 100 ml Granulated sugar
  • 1 heaping tablespoon Water
  • 200 ml Heavy cream

Method

  • Leave heavy cream at room temperature.
  • Put granulated sugar and water in a bowl and microwave for 3 ~ 4 minutes.
  • Adjust the time according on your own microwave.
  • Take the bowl out when the sugar water turns brown and is steaming.
  • Now pour in the heavy cream little by little as you stir.
  • Strain caramel sauce through a strainer to ensure a smooth texture.
  • If you use a small amount of boiling water instead of heavy cream, you'll have a clear caramel sauce suitable for puddings.
  • But please be careful when you add the boiling water as it will splatter.
