Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1 tsp. soda

Method

  • Cream the Crisco until soft.
  • Add the 2 sugars gradually to the Crisco until smooth.
  • Have the brown sugar packed down.
  • Add the whole egg all at once.
  • Add the peanut butter.
  • In a separate bowl, sift the flour and soda together, then add to first mixture. Roll into about 1-inch balls.
  • Place on unoiled baking sheet. Flatten with a fork both ways on cookie dough and bake in a 425° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Makes about 30 small cookies.
