Ingredients
- 5 c. plain flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 5 eggs
- 2 c. sweet milk
- 1 c. oleo
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. vanilla flavor
Method
- Sift together the first four ingredients.
- Cream shortening and sugar well.
- Add 3 eggs; beat well.
- Add 2 eggs.
- Beat well. Add flour mixture alternately with milk.
- Add vanilla.
- Grease and flour cake pans.
- Put just enough dough to spread in pan (about two big spoonfuls).
- Bake in preheated oven at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes.
