Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz.) bag assorted beans
- 2 c. chopped onions
- 2 c. chopped peppers
- 2 c. chopped celery
- seasoning salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- Tabasco to taste
- ham hocks
- 1 to 2 qt. water
Method
- Soak beans overnight and rinse.
- Add beans to 1 quart of water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce to simmer after 5 minutes and add everything else.
- After 2 or 3 hours, remove the meat from the bone.
- Keep adding water as needed.
- Ready in 4 to 6 hours.
