Ingredients

  • 4 cups granny smith apples, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter (separated)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Method

  • Combine the first six ingredients and 2 tablespoons of the butter in a crock pot and cook on low for 6 - 8 hours.
  • Before serving, add in the remaining 2 tablespoons butter and the vanilla and stir to combine.
  • Goes great with biscuits.
