Ingredients
- 2 lb. yellow squash
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cracker crumbs
- dash of pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 c. grated cheese
- 1/2 c. milk
Method
- Boil onion and squash together until done; drain and season with butter, salt and pepper.
- Mash.
- Add cracker crumbs, 1/2 of the cheese, milk and egg.
- Stir.
- Pour into baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
