Ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cold water
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 7 1/2 c. flour
Method
- Heat and mix shortening and milk; stir until melted.
- Add sugar, salt and cold water.
- Add eggs after taking off stove.
- Mix well.
- Add yeast and 1/2 of the flour and beat until well mixed. Add rest of flour.
- Place in bowl and let it rise.
- Place in oven at 350° for approximately 1 hour or until brown.
