Ingredients
- 3 lb. chicken wings
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
Method
- Singe wings if needed.
- Cut off tips and discard.
- Divide each wing in half.
- Place in single layer or rack in broiler.
- Bake 30 minutes at 400°.
- Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger, pepper, water, lemon juice and soy sauce in small saucepan.
- Stir constantly until mixture boils; boil 3 minutes.
- Brush over chicken.
- Cook chicken 40 minutes more and continue turning and basting with remaining mixture.
