Ingredients
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 3/4 c. flour, sifted 3 times
Method
- Beat egg whites stiff; add cream of tartar.
- Beat to mix.
- In second bowl, beat egg yolks and water a long time until like heavy cream.
- Beat in sugar; add salt and vanilla.
- Gradually add flour to egg mixture.
- Fold in egg whites.
