Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon- chopped
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 4 c. shredded cabbage
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
Method
- Cook bacon until crisp.
- Remove bacon and set aside.
- To fat in pan, add onion, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Stir.
- Add shredded cabbage.
- Cook on medium heat, uncovered for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Drain and place in dish.
- Sprinkle with bacon and serve.
