Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 c. butter or oleo
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. dried whole rosemary, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. long grain and wild rice mix

Method

  • Melt butter or oleo in a large saucepan.
  • Add onion and green pepper; saute until tender.
  • Stir in next 7 ingredients.
  • Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Stir in shrimp.
  • Cover and simmer 10 minutes, adding water if necessary. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
