Ingredients
- 6 pork chops
- 1 large onion (6 slices)
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Brown chops in oil.
- Remove.
- Stir in chili powder.
- Add green pepper, rice, tomato sauce, water and salt; cook for 2 minutes. Pour into shallow 8-cup baking dish.
- Put chops over rice.
- Place onion slices on chops.
- Cover dish.
- Bake at 375° for 45 to 60 minutes.
- Add a little water after 40 minutes to keep moist.
