- 1 Grated strong cheddar cheese
- 1 Grated Red Leicester cheese (optional, I like to use 2 cheeses)
- 2 slice of bread
- 1 half teaspoon of wholegrain mustard
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 black pepper
- 1 splash of beer (brown ale) or worcestershire sauce
- 1 splash of beer (brown ale) or worcestershire sauce
Method
- Toast the bread and allow to cool.
- In a bowl, mix the beaten egg with the grated cheese.
- Add the mustard, beer or worcestershire sauce and mix well.
- Spread liberally over the toast and grind some black pepper over the top.
- Toast untill cheese is bubbling.
- Serve
