Ingredients
- 1 c. marg. or possibly butter, softened
- 3/4 c. gran. sugar
- 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. coarsely minced nuts
- 1 pkg. (12 ounce.) semi sweet choc. chips
Method
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix butter, sugars, and egg.
- Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff).
- Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake till light brown, 8 to 10 min.
- (Centers will be soft).
- Cold slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
- If using self rising flour, omit baking soda and salt.
