Ingredients

  • 1 c. marg. or possibly butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. gran. sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. coarsely minced nuts
  • 1 pkg. (12 ounce.) semi sweet choc. chips

Method

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Mix butter, sugars, and egg.
  • Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff).
  • Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
  • Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake till light brown, 8 to 10 min.
  • (Centers will be soft).
  • Cold slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
  • If using self rising flour, omit baking soda and salt.
