Ingredients

  • 5 c. Walla Walla sweet onions, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 (16 ounce.) pkg. warm roll mix
  • 8 ounce. pizza sauce
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage, boiled and sliced
  • 1 c. pitted black olives
  • 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated

Method

  • Heat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Grease 14 inch pizza pan.
  • Over low heat, saute/fry onion and garlic in oil till onion is translucent/soft and tender.
  • Season with salt, pepper and oregano; cold.
  • Make dough for crust from roll mix.
  • Line pan with dough making a rim.
  • Layer pizza sauce and onion filling over crust.
  • Top with sausage, olives and cheese.
  • Bake on bottom rack of oven for 20 to 30 min, till crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
