- 5 c. Walla Walla sweet onions, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 (16 ounce.) pkg. warm roll mix
- 8 ounce. pizza sauce
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage, boiled and sliced
- 1 c. pitted black olives
- 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated
Method
- Heat oven to 425 degrees.
- Grease 14 inch pizza pan.
- Over low heat, saute/fry onion and garlic in oil till onion is translucent/soft and tender.
- Season with salt, pepper and oregano; cold.
- Make dough for crust from roll mix.
- Line pan with dough making a rim.
- Layer pizza sauce and onion filling over crust.
- Top with sausage, olives and cheese.
- Bake on bottom rack of oven for 20 to 30 min, till crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
