Ingredients

  • 4 slice bacon or ham, fat removed
  • 4 slice cheese (see my profile, vic20adamant, for dairy-free cheese recipes)
  • 400 grams puff pastry (my profile has a free-from recipe)

Method

  • This recipe uses the same first steps as my previous Peach Puff recipe.
  • Preheat the oven to gas 6 / 200C / 400F and line a baking tray with foil or baking paper
  • Roll the pastry into a large square, then cut the square into 4 equal squares
  • Lay a piece of bacon on the diagonal on each pastry square
  • Fold the opposite edges over to encase the bacon
  • Place a piece of cheese over the overlap
  • Bake for 15 minutes until the pastry is golden and puffed
  • Enjoy hot or cold!
