- 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. active dry yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. warm water (120~)
- 1 Tbsp. canola oil, divided
- 1/2 lb. onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can low sodium tomato sauce
- 1 small green pepper, cut into rings or chopped
- 4 oz. shredded fat-free Mozzarella cheese
- 1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Method
- In medium bowl, combine 3/4 cup of flour, yeast, sugar, salt, water and 2 teaspoons oil; mix with mixer on low until flour is just moistened.
- Gradually stir in remaining flour to make a soft dough.
- Turn dough onto lightly floured surface.
- Knead about 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in greased bowl. Turn dough over to expose greased side; cover with towel.
- Set in warm place to rise about 45 minutes or until doubled.
