Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter or oleo
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar (1 lb.)
- 1 whole egg or 2 egg yolks (unbeaten)
- 1 1/2 + Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream butter until soft.
- Add salt and part of sugar gradually, blending after each addition.
- Add egg and remaining sugar alternately with vanilla and milk until of right consistency to spread.
- Makes enough for two 9-inch layers.
