Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 8 oz. block cream cheese

Method

  • Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle in the one cup of coconut, then the one cup of pecans.
  • Mix the box of cake mix as directed and pour over the nuts and coconut.
  • In microwave or on the stove, melt until softened, confectioners sugar, margarine and cream cheese.
  • Spread this over the cake batter; stir a little.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
