Ingredients
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 15 oz. pkg. Pillsbury Already pie crust
- 2 tsp. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 6 c. peeled and sliced apples
Method
- Heat oven to 375°.
- In 9-inch pie pan, combine pecans, brown sugar and margarine.
- Spread in bottom of pan.
- Prepare pie crust according to directions.
- Place bottom crust over pecan mixture in pan.
- In large bowl, mix apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Mix lightly.
- Spoon into pie crust.
- Top with second crust and flute top; cut several slits (only in top shell).
- Bake at 375° for 40 to 50 minutes.
- Cool 5 minutes, then turn upside-down on serving place.
- Good with ice cream.
