Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 15 oz. pkg. Pillsbury Already pie crust
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 6 c. peeled and sliced apples

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • In 9-inch pie pan, combine pecans, brown sugar and margarine.
  • Spread in bottom of pan.
  • Prepare pie crust according to directions.
  • Place bottom crust over pecan mixture in pan.
  • In large bowl, mix apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Mix lightly.
  • Spoon into pie crust.
  • Top with second crust and flute top; cut several slits (only in top shell).
  • Bake at 375° for 40 to 50 minutes.
  • Cool 5 minutes, then turn upside-down on serving place.
  • Good with ice cream.
