Ingredients
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
- 4 oz. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Prepare cake mix as directed on the box.
- Pour 1/2 of the mixture into a prepared 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes. While that's baking, melt caramels and milk in microwave.
- After 15 minutes of baking, remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture on top of it.
- Add chocolate chips and pecans and place back into oven for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cool.
- Serve with Cool Whip.
