Ingredients
- 2 med. turnips, peeled
- 6 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. flour
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 12-16 ounce. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
Method
- Boil turnips till cooked, drain.
- Heat butter and add in flour.
- Slowly add in lowfat milk and stir till mix thickens; leave turnips slightly lumpy.
- Add in cheese and stir.
- Pour mix into a serving dish and top with bread crumbs.
- Microwave till warmed or possibly bake at 400 degrees for 15 min.
