Ingredients

  • 1 whole Small Onion
  • 5 Tablespoons Olive Oil, Divided
  • 1- 1/2 pound Ground Turkey
  • 5 Tablespoons Bread Crumbs
  • 1 whole Large Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Chopped Parsley
  • 1/2 bulbs Roasted Garlic Crushed Into Paste
  • 1/2 teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Ground Pepper
  • 1/2 cups Pecorino Or Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 jar (24 Oz. Size) Marinara Sauce Of Your Choice

Method

  • Saute onion in a little olive oil, about 1 tablespoon.
  • In a large bowl add the remaining ingredients (except the marinara sauce and remaining olive oil) and mix well.
  • Gently mix, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  • Shape into golfball-size balls.
  • I use an ice cream scoop so they are even in size.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, heat the remaining 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) oil over medium heat.
  • Add meatballs and, without moving or turning the meat, allow it to brown for about 3 minutes.
  • Turn meatballs and brown other side.
  • Add marinara sauce, cover and cook on low for about 20 minutes.
