Ingredients

  • 2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans solid white tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 c. (2 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. sliced pimiento stuffed olives
  • 3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. commercial sour cream (I prefer Borden)
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp. chili powder
  • lettuce leaves
  • 1 large avocado, peeled and sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • paprika
  • tortilla chips

Method

  • Combine tuna, cheese, olives and onion in a medium bowl. Combine sour cream, garlic powder and chili powder in a small bowl.
  • Add sour cream mixture to tuna mixture and toss.
  • Place lettuce leaves on individual salad plates.
  • Spoon tuna mixture on lettuce; arrange avocado and tomato wedges around tuna.
  • Sprinkle with
  • paprika.
  • Serve salad with tortilla chips.
  • Yields 4 servings.
