Ingredients

  • 2 cups Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 cups Flour
  • Tiramisu Mascarpone, For Serving (optional)

Method

  • 1. Cream butter and sugar together, then mix in the flour.
  • 2. Work the dough with your hands until well mixed.
  • 3. Roll with a rolling pin or smush the dough with your hands into about 1/2 inch thickness, then cut out cookie shapes.
  • 4. Optional step: you can prick the cookies all over with the tines of a fork to make a pretty design.
  • 5. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes on an ungreased baking sheet, until they're getting a little golden (but barely!). Remove immediately to a cooling rack.
  • 6. Optional: slather with tiramisu mascarpone before serving.
