Ingredients

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (10 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 14 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 pinch on baking soda
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

Method

  • Combine first 4 ingredients in pot.
  • (I put the stewed tomatoes through a food processor first as we don't like the chunks).
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to a simmer and simmer 60 minutes.
  • Add baking soda.
  • Wait for fizz to go down.
  • Add whipping cream.
  • Wait until soup is desired temperature.
  • Serve (with grilled cheese of course).
  • Enjoy!
