Ingredients
- 2 c. whole canned tomatoes (undrained)
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes (undrained)
- 1/2 tsp. dried whole basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried whole oregano
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
Method
- Combine
- all
- ingredients
- in
- container of an electric blender or food processor;
- process until smooth.
- Pour into a small
- saucepan and cook over medium heat until mixture boils. Cover, reduce
- heat
- and
- simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
- Serve hot. Yields 4 cups (50 calories per 1 cup serving).
