Ingredients
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
- 3 medium potatoes, cubed
- 2 c. chopped carrots
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. frozen peas
Method
- Combine flour, salt and pepper in a bag.
- Add meat; shake meat to coat.
- Melt margarine in a large pan.
- Brown meat.
- Add beef broth.
- Cook, covered, over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Add potatoes, carrots, onions and celery.
- Cover and cook for 1 to 1 1/4 hours, until tender.
- Add peas; cook until heated through. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
