Ingredients

  • 2 lb. fresh mushrooms, diced
  • 1 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. Accent seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 c. light cream
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. chives, minced
  • 4 tsp. lemon juice
  • 4 sandwich loaves of white bread, trimmed

Method

  • Peel mushrooms and dice.
  • Saute 5 minutes in butter.
  • Blend in flour, Accent and salt.
  • Stir in cream and simmer until thick. Add chives and lemon juice.
  • Blend well.
  • Roll bread slices thin. Spread with mixture and roll up.
  • Cut in half and toast on all sides about 20 minutes in 400°
  • oven.
