- 2/3 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
- 2/3 c. sauerkraut, drained, rinsed and chopped
Method
- Cream oleo and sugar.
- Beat eggs, one at a time.
- Add vanilla. Sift all dry ingredients and add alternately to cream mixture with water.
- Stir in sauerkraut.
- Pour in tube or favorite pan, greased and floured.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
