Ingredients

  • 6 apples, any kind, peeled and sliced
  • lemon juice
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter
  • dash of salt

Method

  • After peeling and slicing apples, sprinkle with the lemon juice to keep them from browning.
  • (Once sprinkled, they will keep in the refrigerator for a week.)
  • In a food processor, pulse together sugar, flour, cinnamon, butter and salt.
  • Spread apples in a baking dish (or individual dishes), and sprinkle topping on it.
  • Bake at 350° until the apples are fragrant and easily pierced with a fork. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
  • Yields 6 to 8 servings.
