Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. sweet milk
- 1/2 c. cocoa
Method
- Heat milk and cocoa.
- Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, then cooled chocolate mixture, buttermilk with flour, soda, and baking powder sifted together and vanilla.
- Bake in two 8 or 9-inch cake pans at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cover with Seven Minute Icing.
