Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Blend oil, sugar and vanilla in mixing bowl. Add eggs, beating well with spoon. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Add nuts. Spread in 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from edge. Do not overcook.
