Ingredients

  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cubes margarine
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping)
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda

Method

  • In large bowl, put sugar, flour and salt.
  • In heavy small pan, bring margarine, water and cocoa to a boil.
  • Take cocoa mixture from heat as soon as it boils and add immediately to dry ingredients.
  • Add sour cream.
  • Add eggs and soda, mixing until well blended after each addition.
  • Batter will be thin.
  • Bake in a greased cookie sheet type pan with high sides or 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan.
  • Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.
