Ingredients

  • 3 sqs. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 3 tbsp. water
  • 1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  • Heat chocolate and butter in the water over low heat, stirring to blend.
  • Combine sugar and salt in mixing bowl.
  • Gradually add in chocolate mix, blending well.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • Makes about 3/4 c. glaze or possibly sufficient to top 13 x 9 x 2 inch cake or possibly 9 or possibly 10 inch tube cake, 8 or possibly 9 inch layer cake or possibly an 8 inch square cake.
