Ingredients
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 1 heaping c. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. pure lard, room temperature
- 4 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
Method
- Place flour in a large mixing bowl.
- Add sugar, lard, eggs and vanilla.
- Mix by hand until all flour is absorbed.
- Turn out on floured board.
- Knead until dough is stiff (may have to add flour).
- Roll thin and cut desired size.
- Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes.
