- 1 c. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp. prepared mustard
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 c. water
Method
- Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Use as a basting sauce when grilling chicken, pork or beef.
- Yields 1 1/2 cups.
