- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 can olives, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. dry corn meal
- 1 c. milk
- 2 cans water (use the cans from the tomato sauce)
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. grated cheese
Method
- Use large black skillet or a baking dish (if using baking dish, oil first).
- Brown hamburger and drain.
- Add onion to hamburger; let simmer.
- Add corn, olives, tomato sauce, corn meal, water, milk and seasonings.
- Stir well.
- Spread cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
