Ingredients

  • 3 c. unpeeled, diced apples
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
  • 4 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • 1 c. Spanish peanuts
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 egg

Method

  • In saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, beaten egg, flour and pineapple juice.
  • Cook on medium heat until thickened, approximately 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat; let cool.
  • Combine apples, pineapple and Cool Whip.
  • Add peanuts and marshmallows.
  • Stir in cooked custard mixture after it is completely cooled; mix well.
  • Chill well before serving.
