Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 12 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • dash of cumin powder
  • dash of oregano
  • salt to taste
  • 1 1/4 c. Cheddar, grated
  • 4 c. lettuce, shredded
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 1/4 oz. can sliced ripe olives, drained
  • salsa
  • 8 oz. stoneground taco or tortilla chips
  • low-fat sour cream or yogurt

Method

  • Brown the turkey and onion together in a large skillet.
  • Add the next 6 ingredients and bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Put the remaining ingredients in bowls.
