Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 3/4 tsp. rubbed sage
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. cracker crumbs (approximately 24 round buttery type)
- 3/4 c. grated Swiss cheese
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Beat egg and add all ingredients, reserving 1/4 cup cheese.
- Form into a loaf in a 2-quart rectangular baking dish.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake a few minutes more to melt cheese.
