Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped fresh pears
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. or less sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Method

  • Beat oil and sugar together until well blended.
  • Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  • Add sour cream and vanilla.
  • Mix dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. Beat until well blended. Add walnuts and pears; mix well.
  • Pour into well greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool in pan for 10 to 15 minutes; turn out on rack. Slice and enjoy.
