Ingredients

  • 20 to 30 shrimp, thawed, deveined and peeled
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 4 tbsp. olive
  • canola oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 to 2 stalk green onions
  • 2 to 3 slices
  • 2/3 cup dry white wine
  • rice wine
  • 1/3 cup sesame oil

Method

  • Rinse shrimp under cold water, drain, and place in bowl.
  • Add wine and sesame oil to shrimp and mix well, making sure the shrimp is nicely coated.
  • Let it sit for about 15-30 minutes.
  • Depending on the size of your shrimp, there should be enough wine and sesame oil to coat the shrimp, but not cover it.
  • Meanwhile, mince the garlic and chop the onions.
  • Heat oil in pan until hot.
  • Once the oil is hot, dump the shrimp in (wine, sesame oil and all) and saute for about three minutes.
  • Then add garlic and green onion.
  • Saute until shrimp is done - about 15-20 minutes.
  • The shrimp will release lots of liquid - it's ok. After shrimp is done, keep the heat on, and pour on the ketchup.
  • If you like, you can add a tiny bit more ketchup until there is a nice saucy coating.
  • Serve with hot white rice.
