Ingredients

  • 1 can cut green beans
  • 1 can cut yellow beans (optional)
  • 1 can dark red kidney beans
  • 1 small green pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/3 c. salad oil
  • 2/3 c. vinegar

Method

  • Drain liquid from the 3 cans of beans and put beans in a large bowl.
  • Chop pepper and onion fine.
  • Mix chopped vegetables with beans.
  • In a separate bowl, mix all remaining ingredients.
  • Pour over bean combination and refrigerate several hours or overnight, until vegetables take on a good sweet and sour flavor.
