Ingredients

  • 3 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 c. flour (approximately)
  • 3 cubes margarine

Method

  • Place yeast in large bowl.
  • Mix in a little milk and make a paste. Smash any lumps!
  • Add sugar, salt, remaining milk and eggs, beating well after each addition.
  • Fill sifter with flour and sift into mix.
  • Make just past sticky stage.
  • Pour out onto board and knead.
  • Roll dough out and place 3 cubes of margarine on it.
  • Fold dough over margarine and smash.
  • Margarine will come through flour a little.
  • Roll out again and fold.
  • Repeat.
  • Place in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
