Ingredients
- 1 1/3 c. margarine
- 6 c. sugar
- 1 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 2 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 13 oz. Marshmallow Creme
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 10 oz. chopped pecans (optional)
Method
- Lightly grease two 9 x 13-inch pans.
- In a heavy 5-quart pan, combine margarine, sugar and evaporated milk.
- Bring mixture to a full boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Continue boiling over medium heat for 5 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 234°, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
- Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted.
- Add Marshmallow Creme and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Now, add pecans, if desired.
- Spread into prepared pans and cool at room temperature; cut into squares.
