Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c. margarine
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 13 oz. Marshmallow Creme
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 10 oz. chopped pecans (optional)

Method

  • Lightly grease two 9 x 13-inch pans.
  • In a heavy 5-quart pan, combine margarine, sugar and evaporated milk.
  • Bring mixture to a full boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Continue boiling over medium heat for 5 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 234°, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
  • Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted.
  • Add Marshmallow Creme and vanilla.
  • Mix well.
  • Now, add pecans, if desired.
  • Spread into prepared pans and cool at room temperature; cut into squares.
