Ingredients
- 8 to 10 large potatoes
- 16 oz. carton sour cream
- 2 c. Cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
- 1 c. milk
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 c. melted margarine
- dash of pepper
- 2 c. crunched potato chips
- 6 slices bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled
Method
- Wash potatoes and boil until tender.
- Cool, peel and dice. Combine next 6 ingredients and mix with potatoes.
- Spoon into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 30 minutes at 350°.
- Stir.
- Cover with crunched chips and bacon.
- Bake another 15 minutes.
- Makes at least 12 generous servings.
