Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. dates, chopped
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. prunes, chopped
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. apple juice (frozen, unsweetened, thawed and undiluted)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. pecans, chopped

Method

  • Simmer fruit in water for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in margarine; cool mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
  • Stir in cooled fruit mixture.
  • Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 350°.
  • Cool and cut into 2-inch squares.
