Ingredients
- 3 large or 4 small apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 3 Tbsp. dry tapioca
- 1 c. apple juice (no sugar added)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- In a saucepan, add tapioca and apple juice to apples.
- Cook over medium heat until thick.
- Remove from heat and add cinnamon and vanilla.
- Place in unbaked pie shell.
- Make lattice strips from pie dough to place over top.
- Bake 10 minutes at 350°, or until crust is brown.
